What a voice!
A very hot summer afternoon, Big D and The Kids Table came out dressed in shorts showing off their long and slender legs and a loose gauze like tangerine top. Their voice was amazing, with such power and range. They sounded happy to be back among fans at Indian Ranch after a 14 year hiatus. Their repertoire included songs they had written, revisions of songs originally sung by males, and songs written by some of their favorite singer/songwriters. Their face looked thinner and more defined, they looked like they were about to join us for a day at the lake. One song brought tears to the eyes of some in the audience which in turn brought tears to Big D and The Kids Table. First time I've seen them without their bangs and long hair framing her face. Their songs invoked memories, sadness, humor, and hope. They were genuine people, not self-absorbed divas, and they put on a wonderful performance.
